After a few days of drift when I really couldn't concentrate on anything, today I have actually managed to do a little work on the next book. Not a massive amount, but significant in its way. And I am sure it is just coincidence that, today, I have also received a request to publish a translation of one of my essays in a French journal. Of such things is confidence made.
